This is the first of a series of mindmaps I created showing the important details of organic reactions. I had to memorise about 50 equations for my A level chemistry exams and having graphic mindmaps really helped. Throughout the mindmaps I kept the colour scheme consistent so that it was easy to see the different reactants (purple) , products (blue), conditions (orange) and reaction types (yellow). The short form equations are also shown in red and green. The homologous series, alkane, is in the centre with ethane being used as an example.
